Sabbath Worship Experience | "Sabbath and Jesus"
Jun 15, 2024 • Pastor Jonathan Henderson
In the last three weeks we have seen the significance the Sabbath was intended to serve in our lives as a memorial of creation, a day of rest and replenishment, and a day for special gatherings of community, friends, and family. Yet many Christians have asserted the Sabbath is no longer needed or required due to Jesus ministry, death and resurrection, citing Colossians 2:16, 17: "Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ." This week we’ll study this passage and more, to discover if the Sabbath is indeed now expendable in Christ or. . . enhanced.
